1. How does the Bio Sewage system differ from a traditional septic tank or soak-away?
Unlike a traditional septic tank, which simply stores and partially decomposes waste (often leading to soil contamination and odors), our system uses a multi-stage biological process to actively treat the water. This results in clear, odorless effluent that meets DWS General Limits, allowing you to reuse the water for irrigation rather than letting it soak into and potentially pollute the ground.
2. Can I really reuse the treated water for my garden?
Yes! Our systems are engineered to produce high-quality effluent that is safe for immediate reuse in non-potable applications. This includes garden irrigation, lawn watering, dust suppression, and even toilet re-flushing. By recycling your black and grey water, you can reduce your freshwater consumption by up to 50%.
3. Does the system require a lot of maintenance or electricity?
Not at all. Our “5-Shin Technology” is designed for simplicity and low power consumption. For example, our residential units draw very little power (often less than a standard lightbulb).
